Your telegram of 10th December
Aerodrome Costs of completing reclamation unchanged
namely $730,000 but additional sums of 275,000
required for covering nullahs and 23,500 for
nemuisition and forming a flight gan on the north
centre. These additions strongly recommended by
local Air Force Officers. Cost of resumption from
Kaitek remains unchanged 1,000,000. Total revised
cost therefore 2,036,500 of which we should hone to
recover at least 500,000 by sale of outlying portion(
eventually not necessary for the serodrome. I
consider it essential in the interests of the Colony
from civil as well as militery point of view that
this scheme should be undertaken at once and I
recommend that it should be financed by loan in the

Approve a mum of $1,000,000 should be made available
at once for resuantion. Telegraph whether I may negotiate with the Company. Despatch follows by
